They just released the theme for the 60th episodes and... omg.

Absolutely <3. I was really hoping that they would return to the orchestral feel of the Series 1 and Series 2 theme without actually using them (or the Series 4) directly, and voila! I love the additions and the instrumentation, which totally evokes Nine/Ten. I'm looking forward to the new interpretation that I'm sure will land with Fifteen and hoping it'll be more electronic (loved Thirteen's theme), but this one is perfect for Fourteen.

Ooh just listened to it on FB . it’s fabulous !!!

It sounds just so… epic & big and dreamy and spectacular.

13’s was cool with good percussion. But this feels like an anniversary opening

Though I've always appreciated all of the different Doctors' versions of the theme, it only just occurred to me that this is really unique to DW. Other movies/shows have a single version of any of its music that's the same throughout the entire franchise or series, and variations are often hated. There really is only arrangement of The Imperial March or the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme. ST:TNG's theme is, I think, the same as the first Star Trek movie, but though it's a different performance, it's essentially the same.

DW is really unique in that the theme changes for each Doctor, and it's just awesome getting to hear the new version each time. I have favorites, but they're all beautiful.
